                           Dialogue and Participatory method                   

This method focuses on maximum participation of students in the teaching. Dialogue is important for learning as new knowledge can be constructed by enquiry and purposeful dialogue. It is worth to note that child learns a lot from their peers. In this context theory of Vygotsky is worth to note where he talks of zone of proximal development and gave the concept of More Knowledgeable Other(MKO). This more knowledgeable other can be a classmate an elder or like that. Taking references from this  we should encourage students to have a healthy talk and discusion with their classmates.

                                Only good dialogue can ensure student's participation in the teaching. Also to ensure maximum participation of students in teaching, a teacher should provide an environment which has no place for fear in asking questions, criticizing or commenting at some point of teaching. When a student feels that he is free to answer and he will not be punished a student will participate actively in teaching.

Advantages of dialogue and participatory method

1- This method is helpful in developing social skills in the students as a good class room environment is provided for learning.

2-Students are able to develop their problem solving ability.

3-Students can be given proper guidance and counselling as dialogue facilitates a teacher to acknowledge the learning gap of the students.

4- Students grow up as a self depended personality.

5- Teacher can find out students who are not getting benefitted by traditional learning methods.

Limitation

1- It is a time consuming method.

2- In Indian situation with overcrowded classes it is difficult to teach with this method.

3- All the students may not take part in this method. It is not beneficial for shy students.

4- Students with special needs may be given remedial measures by this method but this method is not enough on its own to address individual differences needs.
5-There can be indiscipline in the class
